Google is AMAZING

If you type "google gravity" and then click "I'm feeling lucky" on Google, the entire page will lose it's gravity and you get to play with it.

Searching for ‘elgooG’ on Google will take you to a Google website that is completely backwards. This backwards version of the ultra-popular search engine will come up directly if you click the ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ button instead of ‘Google Search.’ The site was originally created just for fun, but has actually become quite useful in China after Google was banned there.

It's not "Back To The Future" day yet. However, we finally have SELF-LACING SNEAKERS.

Inspired by 'Back to The Future II', this project is less 'Practical' than 'Proof of Concept', but hopefully it'll tide you over until Nike comes out with something more polished.

BZZZZZZ: YouTube Gets A Vuvuzela Button (Seriously)

YouTube always has had a way with pranks. Some time in the last hour, the world’s largest video portal activated a new button on some videos that looks like a tiny soccer ball. Clicking it will activate an endless, incredibly annoying sound that sounds vaguely like a swarm of insects.

Or, for anyone who has been watching the World Cup, like the dreaded Vuvuzela — an instrument commonly played in South Africa at football (soccer) games. South Africa is, of course, the host country for this year’s World Cup, and fans watching the games have been subjected to the vuvuzela’s mindless drone for hours on end.

Disney's Hidden Characters

This happens a lot in Disney movies where some of the characters appear in other movies. You just have to keep your eyes open. Check out this video for some more surprising cameos!

BBC reports on "World's Unluckiest Woman"

For the past ten years the BBC, possibly the most respected news source in the world, has been following the 'fortunes' of an otherwise ordinary person who has been dubbed by the press "The World's Unluckiest Woman".

In June 2003 the BBC announced that Dee had unwittingly become entangled in the infamous 'War of the IM networks', and Dee was quoted as saying "It's enough to drive you crazy" which any sane person can fully understand.
In September 2003 the BBC reported on the MSBlast worm, and how it had "hit some users hard".

Earlier this month Dee returned to the headlines with the recent launch of Microsoft's 'fix it' program.

Willy Wonka Shoes | Candy Snack Whenever You Want

Who could have missed the re-make of “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory” (New Title: “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”) from 1972. In the re-make we see Johnny Depp doing an unforgettable interpretation of Willy Wonka that is sure to stay in our minds forever. The stylistic way Tim Burton directs both the characters and the visuals are just amazing and it goes hand in hand with his trademarked style.

There are several new and old “things” that have adapted the style of Willy Wonka since the movie came out. From bikes to candy and now also shoes. Designer Belma Arnautovic from Sarajevo has created a collection of playful and handy shoes also working as your personal candy holder.

Each pair has their own little unique candy feature and you are sure to always have a bit of candy with you on your way to wherever you are going. Each pair looking more delicious than the other. I can understand now why people have foot fetishes, but only if it’s because there is candy on top of a shoe. It certainly plays on that theme if you ask me.

Or as the designer says it : “A shoe collection branded Lolice is the graduation work of product designer Belma Arnautovic based in Sarajevo, on department for product design at the Academy of fine arts in Sarajevo. Inspired by candies and cakes, these conceptual shoes for girls are completely wearable. The idea behind the design lies in dreamland, that which is edible and reminds us of childhood.”

The bigger your dinner group, the more you are likely to eat.

People eat when they're not hungry. It doesn't really make sense, but we do it all the time. It's not healthy for you. Television commercials have the power of suggestion to get you to eat when you're not even hungry. People also eat for social purposes, regardless of how hungry they are. Eating in a big group with 8 friends? You're likely to consume TWICE as many calories!

Sex and the City 2 banned from UAE

The movie will not be shown in the emirate!

It was announced Wednesday (19May) that Sex and the City 2: Carrie On will not be shown in the UAE. Local reports have confirmed rumours that the movie which is set in Abu Dhabi, but filmed in Morocco has officially been banned from being released in movie theatres across the emirate.

The National Media Council (NMC) has concluded that there are numerous reasons as to why the film will not be allowed to be viewed here. "Among them are that the film’s website stated that filming was done in Abu Dhabi even though they were denied permission to do so and that they continue to attribute the locations shot in Morocco as being in Abu Dhabi, which is false, as the theme of the film does not fit with our cultural values,” said NMC. “Also, they persisted in using Abu Dhabi’s name in the movie despite the fact that no official permission was given to them to do so."

Sex and the City 2 starring Sarah Jessica Parker premieres in London on Thursday (20May) and will be released worldwide on May 27. Fans of the flick in the UAE will just have to Carrie On.
