LOL: The Reoccurring Prop Newspaper

If you watch enough television shows and movies, then you might even start to notice that a bunch of the same props are used over and over again

I don’t know the story behind this prop newspaper, but I assume it was created as a royalty free prop for television shows. Somewhere along the line, the prop became a reoccurring gag between propmasters. Something like how sound designers reuse the Wilhem Scream in every movie. Check out some examples ...

Horn Goes Through Bullfighter’s Mouth

Bull Gores Matador Through Mouth: At the Las Ventas bullring in Madrid, Spain, Friday, Spanish bullfighter Julio Aparicio was gored through the neck and out of his mouth by a bull during the San Isidro Feria.

Granted, he sort of had it coming, but still: holy SH!T. Don't watch if you can't stomach the title.

(Warning: Extremely graphic images and video.) Aparicio has been hospitalized in "very serious" condition.

Tikka - I like it Spicy!

Remember the guy from the Tikka commercial - and on the logo as well wouldn’t it be cool to find out who the “I like it spicy” guy was, what happened to him and how he looked like today?

The actor who played the “I like it spicy” character was Galal Zaki. He wasn’t an actor, he worked in the ad agency that came up with the idea. Like Alfred Hitchcock, Galal liked to star in his own work and that’s how he ended up becoming the Tikka guy. the picture below is of Galal Zaki which I found on Google and is dated 2007. Although a lot older now you can still see some resemblance.

Today Galal Zaki is the CEO of Perception Communication in Egypt. He was also recently awarded the Rameh IAA Lifetime Achievement Award.
this is the commercial if you guys remember =p

Max Factors Facial Ice Pack

He developed a special bonnet for the benefit of actresses who wished to refresh their faces on hot studio sets without spoiling their makeup, the facial ice pack [ pictured below ] was quickly diverted to another purpose by festive Hollywoodians. The headpiece, adorned with water-filled plastic cubes, is kept in the refrigerator while the water freezes.

Contrary to popular belief, a duck's quack DOES echo.

The echo is just so similar to the original quack that many people believe it doesn't echo. Nevertheless, it was proved, on the television show Mythbusters, that the duck's quack echoes.
